Pope Francis’ Year of Mercy: Jesus Christ’s Mission is Accomplished

Pope Francis Year of MercyAt the Catholic funeral mass at my Mom’s funeral a week and a half ago, I picked up the Polish-English Catholic prayer book and read an excerpt from the back cover that was written by Pope Francis last year. Pope Francis describes the current year of December 8, 2015 through November 20, 2016 as the “Jubilee Year of Mercy:”

‘The Jubilee year will close with the liturgical Solemnity of Christ the King on 20 November 2016. On that day … we shall be filled, above all, with a sense of gratitude and thanksgiving … for having granted us an extraordinary time of grace… How much I desire that the year to come will be steeped in mercy, so that we can go out to every man and woman, bringing the goodness and tenderness of God! May the balm of mercy reach everyone, both believers and those far away, as a sign that the Kingdom of God is already present in our midst!”-Pope Francis, “Misericordiae Vultus” (“The Face of Mercy”)

Indeed, I’ve been writing for a while now that the Kingdom of God is already present in our midst, and I will explain what I mean by that. I’ll also explain why an awakened heart is required to truly get this, as well as what is required for one to awaken, as certainly from the surface level of consciousness and existence the world doesn’t look all that heavenly at the moment. In fact, from the surface level perspective, many would argue that the Kingdom of God is far from here, and many are still waiting for the rapture, or for “the end of the world when all souls shall rise from the dead,” or for some other transcendental, ethereal state to arrive through some sort of divine intervention.

But listen up. The only divine intervention that will occur here is the one that happens when you cultivate a strong relationship with your higher self and follow through with your soul’s guidance, your inner guidance, promptly and consistently-which is what Christ had done. This is also what is required in order for you to awaken and it’s how you access the Kingdom of God (both the inner and the outer Kingdoms).

Two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ accomplished the mission he had set for himself. He was able to accomplish his mission by cultivating a strong connection with his Higher Self (his connection with God, to the “Father”), conducting his life in such a way that his Higher Self was in the “driver’s seat,” and following through with his inner guidance promptly and consistently.

The Scriptures contain many examples of Christ connecting to spirit and then following through with his higher guidance. In fact, one time Christ spent 40 days alone, in the desert, so he could connect within and be with his “Father,” before gaining the clarity and strength needed to go on with the rest of his life’s work.

Yes, Jesus had a choice back then (well, sort of …). He could have simply gone along with the establishment and not made any waves. But he chose to spend 40 days in “the desert,” in meditation and communion with spirit. Then he chose to go through with where his guidance was taking him.

Why? Because the world was full of ignorance and the people-whom he loved with all his heart and soul-suffered greatly because of this ignorance. (Yep, there wasn’t much of a choice there for him at all … )

And after that, the world was never again the same.

Now, two thousand years later, it’s our turn to cultivate a strong relationship with our higher self (our connection with God, with the “Father”), conduct our lives in such a way such that our higher self is in the driver’s seat, and follow through with our inner guidance (the promptings of our higher self, of our spirit) promptly and consistently, too.

In other words, it’s time for us to fulfill Christ’s legacy.

Some would argue that this is impossible, because we live on a planet of spiritual teenagers. But the truth is, following Christ’s example is how spiritual teenagers transform themselves into spiritual adults.

They do this by first cultivating a strong relationship with their higher self, and then they conduct their lives in such a way so that their higher self (their authentic self, their soul) is in the “driver’s seat.” Of course, part of this process includes following through with their inner guidance promptly and consistently, just as Jesus Christ had done.

Following Christ’s example and perhaps attending a youth ministry program could be one way to transform ourselves from spiritual teenagers into spiritual adults. Following Christ’s example is how we “return to God.” It’s how we gain access to God’s grace. (The “mercy” Pope Francis refers to again and again.) And following Christ’s example is how we’ll resolve the many issues of this planet, and it is how Christ’s vision for a Heaven on Earth (the outer Kingdom of God), will finally be made manifest. Because Heaven on Earth can’t exist on a planet full of spiritual teenagers.

How many spiritual teenagers are still waiting for Christ to return to Earth in the flesh, to take those who believe in him (and in his connection to God) up into Heaven with him? How many believers are still waiting to be swooped up and taken up into “Heaven” simply because of their belief in Christ’s connection to God, or their belief in his divinity, or their recitation of specific prayers? How long will they continue to wait, while ignoring Christ’s example and teachings? How long will they choose to remain ignorant?

I assert that Jesus Christ has already accomplished his mission, his work is already done, and in order for you to see this (including seeing that the Kingdom of God is already present in your midst) you must simply follow in Christ’s footsteps and actually strengthen the relationship with your Higher Self, with your own heart and soul-your direct connection with God. Because let’s face it, there are some things you get only through action and firsthand experience, not through recitation of doctrine, theorization, belief, cogitation, book learning-as Christ’s own disciples had eventually come to realize. This is one of them.

At an event I attended last month (March 2016), I heard Dr. Sean Stephenson share an incredible story about what happened when he followed an intuitive urge he thought was—to say the least—strange.

You might have heard of Sean before. He’s the three-foot tall motivational speaker / psychotherapist who’s been on TED talks and TV and who gets around in a wheel chair.

Born with a rare brittle bone disorder, doctors didn’t expect him to live more than 24 hours. His leg bones are so fragile they don’t support his weight. Just sneezing can fracture his ribs.

But Sean not only proved the doctors wrong, he became a motivational speaker at the young age of 17. He even got his PhD so that he could better help those people who, after his talks, approached him for advice on personal issues. These days, he also coaches public speakers. And this is where Sean’s amazing story begins …

So it’s near the end of January (2016) and Sean is staying at a hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona. He and his group of five or six mastermind clients (who are working together for one year, paying Sean a handsome fee of $40,000 for the privilege) are meeting the next morning for an intense workshop on public speaking. One of the members of the group can’t be present as he’s having open-heart surgery where he lives in Long Beach, California.

At four in the morning at the hotel, Sean awakens to the voice of his intuition telling him to change the day’s agenda. Instead of working in a hotel room as usual, he is to gather the group together and drive the seven hours to visit with the one member who’s about to have heart surgery.

Yes, he heard that right. Drive to Long Beach, visit with their friend for a few minutes, hug him, wish him well. Then drive seven hours back to Scottsdale.

Sean’s thinking, what? No way! That’s just wonky! (His words.)

But the inner voice persists and won’t let him sleep. In the morning, Sean decides to enroll his group in the new plan. But how will he enroll them?

By asking a loaded question, of course. “Friends, how much do you trust me?” he asks the group. Then he informs them about the new plan: they’ll drive to Long Beach, give their friend a hug, and then drive back to Scottsdale.

Because they trust Sean, everyone’s on … that is, except for one lady. But she goes up to her hotel room, has a bitch fit and cries. And then she comes down a half hour later, ready to go.

Van service is ordered and things get more wonky: the van’s driver is a paraplegic.

But no worries. The paraplegic has all the safety features and controls and he’s an awesome driver. It’s just that at the age of 17, a terrible car accident left him paralyzed. Anyway, with not a moment to waste, they all pile into the van.

But … there’s another little problem: there are more passengers than car seats. Which means brittle-bones Sean can’t sit in his child-sized car seat. He’ll just have to sit in someone’s lap, it’s decided.

One of Sean’s female clients happily volunteers. A former prostitute, meth-addict, and alcoholic, they met nine years ago. He helped transform her life, and ever since then she’s been telling the world that Sean had saved her life. (Of course she’d be the one to volunteer …)

After the seven hour road trip, the group arrives in Long Beach and visits with their friend. He’s astonished to see them, of course. They hug him, wish him well, and his heart gets filled. (And what better way to go into heart surgery than with a full heart?)

It’s time to return to Scottsdale. They pile into the van … with Sean sitting in the former prostitute / meth-addict / alcoholic’s lap again.

Partway back, Sean unbuckles himself and turns around to talk to the three people in the back, one of whom is a soft-spoken, quiet Asian lady from Canada. He wants to make sure she and the other two people in the back are okay. (After all, they flew in for Sean’s coaching, not a road trip to California.) And as he’s facing the back of the van, a terrible, terrible noise assaults his senses. Did they just hit a metal garbage can in the middle of the highway?

But it sure as heck wasn’t a garbage can. Swerving into their lane out of the blue came a tractor trailer. Everyone saw it except for Sean, who happened to be facing the back in that moment.

I don’t have the exact details on the collision, but the tractor trailer struck the van, lodged it underneath somehow and dragged it along. At the moment of impact one of the guys in the back flew forward and struck the window; the other passengers got jerked around. So they were being dragged by this tractor trailer and it took  f o r e v e r  for it to finally stop, explained Sean.

As you can imagine, Sean’s mind was spinning. Is this what his intuition guided him into? Him and his mastermind speaking group? What in the world? …

But wait. They’re all alive, waiting for first response to arrive. And when the first police officer arriving at the scene recognizes Sean, things get really wonky.

“Hey, I know you!” the first response officer says. “You’re Sean Stephenson! Dude! I can’t believe it’s you! I’m a big fan of yours and I follow you on Facebook.” He goes on and on about being a fan of Sean’s…

But then later, after evaluating the situation, the police officer explains that if Sean were in his child seat, he would have broken his ribs … and things could have been much worse. (Now, that’s not to say car seats don’t save many lives. They do. It’s just that this situation was you might say unique.)

Plus, if Sean had been facing forward at the time of the collision, he would have seen what was coming and tensed up, which would have made him more prone to injury. Since he was facing backward and unaware of the impending crash, his body was totally relaxed.

And because the former prostitute / meth addict / alcoholic was facing forward and was aware of what was happening, she held onto Sean and absorbed all the energy of the impact, so that Sean was left with not even a bruise.

And … after all these years of telling the world that Sean had saved her life, she now knows that she had saved his.

So she has karmic closure.

And the paraplegic … well, he just happened to save all of their lives. He had experienced a terrible accident in his youth so he knew what to do. He did not panic, and he kept the van steady during the collision and dragging. Because of him, they got away with minor injuries.

Which means the paraplegic has karmic closure, too.

And the mastermind speakers who went along with Sean’s new plan? What about them? Well, Sean explained to them, “Hey guys, you all just doubled your speaking fees!”

Which means the day’s work got done after all …

So …

What does this story mean for you?

Does it give you a sense of wonder … and new hope for humanity?

Does it show you, without a doubt, there’s more to life than what we currently know or believe?

Does it show that following your inner guidance can bring resolution to your life? Can bring blessings and karmic closure?

And does that motivate you to connect within … learn to trust your intuition, and gain the courage it takes to follow it?

You know I’ve been telling the world that connecting within and following our inner guidance (meaning, putting our higher self in the driver’s seat of our life) is THE KEY to transforming our lives.

(It’s obvious Sean’s higher self is in the driver’s seat of his life. And by the way, the same is true for Sir Richard Branson, I found out earlier this week. Richard Branson makes business deals without accountants or lawyers, but with his intuition.)

Catherine Austin Fitts, Spirituality, Economic Reality And Our Progress

Recently I came across a five minute video of Catherine Austin Fitts talking about her experience of speaking at a spiritual conference to which she was invited. For those not familiar with Catherine Fitts, she has served as managing director and member of the Board of Directors of a major Wall Street investment bank and as Assistant Secretary of Housing and Federal Housing Commissioner at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in the first Bush Administration. Ms. Fitts has been extensively interviewed on KPFA radio, an alternative media outlet, and is currently the publisher of The Solari Report. (Access the video here.)

I found what she shared in the video (uploaded May 30, 2013) about her experience interacting with participants at the spiritual conference extremely compelling, enough to make it the focus of at least a couple of articles on my blog. Ms. Fitts stated,

“I have been asked by a friend to speak to a group called Spiritual Frontiers Foundation. They have a conference once a year where they explore how they can help our society evolve spiritually. They’re very committed to a higher spiritual life. And I have been asked to give a speech called “How The Money Works In Organized Crime” which later became a very funny, a famous article, “Narco-Dollars for Beginners.”

So I’m in the middle of the speech talking about how the U.S. Congress had had hearings about allegations of narcotics trafficking by the intelligence agencies into South Central L.A. It’s called the so called “Dark Alliance Allegations.” At that time the Department of Justice had told a reporter who I was working with that the U.S. Economy launders five hundred billion to a trillion dollars a year in illegal money. That’s not just narcotics trafficking, it’s financial fraud, illegal gambling, everything. So I said to this wonderful group of spiritually evolved committed people, “What would happen if we stop being the global leader in money laundering?”

They said, “Well, you know, it would be a problem because that money would not go to the New York Stock Exchange. If we stopped, you know, the money would leave and go to Hong Kong or Zurich and we’d have trouble refinancing the government deficit.”

So I said, “Well, let’s pretend there’s a big red button up here on the lectern. And if you push that button, you can stop all hard narcotics trafficking in your county, your community, your neighborhood, your state, your country, tomorrow, thus offending the people who control not only a half a trillion to a trillion dollars a year of dirty money but the accumulated capital thereon. Who here will push the button?” And out of a hundred people dedicated to evolving our society spiritually only one would push the button.

I wouldn’t let him answer so I said to the other ninety-nine, “Why would you not push the button?” And they said, “We don’t want our IRA and 401(k) to go down in value. We don’t want our mutual funds to decline and we don’t want our government checks to stop because we don’t, you know, if you had trouble financing the government deficit, our government checks would stop or our taxes would go up.”

And so I said, “So you want the powers to continue to market drugs to your neighbor’s children to keep your taxes low and your 401(k) up.”

And they said, “Yes, that’s right.”

And what was interesting, the epiphany I had that day was that everyone was so afraid to face that, or talk about that, that we couldn’t get to a point where we could do what I call, “turn the red button green.” Because the right question is not, “How do we push the red button? The right question is how do we make money pushing the red button? How do we turn the red button green?” Because if you can make money pushing the red button, then you can push the red button. And no one feels safe enough or comfortable enough to talk about this.

It’s a little bit like…when you take methadone. Methadone or drugs makes your body weaker and weaker and weaker so it can’t possibly be profitable. It’s the same with an economy. The more the economy depends on criminal enterprise the more you’re making money at things that make you economically stupid. Okay? Because you’re doing, you’re getting good at criminal enterprise. You’re getting good at financial fraud instead of getting good at things that really are useful and have some real economic productivity to them. So you’re making your body politic weaker and weaker the more dependent you get on this money. So it can’t lead to anyplace good.

So there is a way to turn the red button green but it starts by being honest with each other. And one of the reasons I wrote the article “Coming Clean Beyond the Fiscal Cliff” is, we’ve got to face this. We’ve got to look at that if we’re going to turn the red button green. In that sense we have all been complicit because we’ve been letting the leadership draw us in a more and more perverted and criminal way and as we’ve done it we’ve made the body politic weaker and weaker and weaker because we’re all spending our time doing things that are making us stupider instead of spending our time making things that make us healthier and stronger.”

Ms. Fitts posed those questions to the audience in the spiritual conference during the Summer of 2000, and it is my hope that in the Summer of 2013 (13 years later, and after 9/11) that there are more than just one in 100 “spiritually conscious” people that are not only willing to talk about how to “turn the red button green,” but are actively pursuing ways in which to do so.

Is it actually true that for our economy to prosper, we need to turn a blind eye to the illegal drug trade, we need to hook the neighbors’ kids on drugs? No way! It’s like saying we need to keep selling land mines otherwise our way of life and our economy will collapse, we need to sell more weapons. The truth is, selling land mines is extremely profitable for the manufacturer of land mines and those directly involved in land mine sales, but certainly not for the average Joe Public.

It is my hope that 13 years later, more and more people are acknowledging the lies, more and more people are realizing that the fears that were keeping them aligned to the old systems and the old ways of being are based on false assumptions, propaganda and downright lies.

And it’s not just the illegal drug industry that is full of lies, many other industries are as well: the pharmaceutical industry, the cancer industry, the defense industry, the energy industry, the processed food industry, among many, many others.

It is my assertion that “spirituality” is about becoming socially and spiritually aware, becoming conscious to the lies we bought into, and taking the steps necessary to fulfill our higher purpose. In fact, fulfilling our higher purpose is how we “turn the red button green.” Everything else is just fluff. (Find my latest article on fulfilling your higher purpose here.)

No matter what happens around you it is not the end of the world, it is just a transition and each one of us has a unique contribution to creating a world that works for everyone, a “Golden Age.” Getting that message out and sharing helpful real-life experiences and insights via my books and my blog has been my main focus for the last several years, and it seems to have made some difference. Thirteen years ago, when Ms. Fitts was speaking at that spiritual conference, the possibility of turning the red button green was not even in the conversation, not even on the radar, but now it is. And that is indeed progress.

The Bigger Picture And Divine Plan – It’s Not What You Think It Is

In my blog posts I keep coming back to the importance of fulfilling one’s higher purpose (one’s soul mission and unique contribution) as a prerequisite for understanding the bigger picture of humanity’s journey on this planet. That’s because I keep coming across other blog posts and articles that imply that Disclosure and information about the extent of control the “powers that be” have had on this planet is the Bigger Picture. The belief is that recorded history and hidden documents and other hidden information accurately portray the Divine Plan / the Bigger Picture and spreading this knowledge is how we will finally transform our world. But this view is extremely short-sighted and couldn’t be further from the truth.

No amount of reading or absorbing of information, no matter how seemingly monumental or how revealing, will help you understand the bigger picture of your life (and consequently, the bigger picture of our collective journey here on this planet) if you personally do not apply what you’ve been reading and learning during this great shift in consciousness towards actually fulfilling your own higher purpose.

You do not fulfill your higher purpose or understand the bigger picture by having access to the vast assemblage of hidden or classified information about humanity’s history. You do not have to have special security clearance or spend years studying this information to know what the heck is going on. Viewing hours and hours of “re-education material” on the true history of the world on your television or computer screen will not finally help you understand the Divine Plan / Bigger Picture. Rather, you will discover what the heck is going on on a deeper, visceral, and experiential level when you’re well on your way to fulfilling your soul’s higher purpose.

So how do you discover your higher purpose? How do you learn what that is? I maintain that you do not know what your higher purpose is, and neither does anyone else know what your higher purpose is, no matter how psychic they are. Do you really think that you know what your higher purpose is?

Your ego mind (normal consciousness mind / socially conditioned mind / only-10%-of-the-brain accessing mind) does not know what your higher purpose is. How can it? Only your soul / higher self knows what your higher purpose is, and your conscious mind doesn’t have access to that, at least not all at once. Rather, the way it works is like this: you access your higher purpose one little teeny baby step at a time, by following through with your inner guidance and paying attention to what happens as a result. (Your higher self will not reveal your higher purpose if you’re not ready to follow through, if you haven’t cultivated a deeper relationship with the Divine such that you trust the guidance you’re receiving, which means following through with it promptly and consistently.) So what happens when you follow your guidance one time, what will you have then? You will have one little baby clue, one little insight.

When you have aligned your life with your deepest being and followed through with that guidance promptly and consistently for weeks and months on end, what happens is that the little clues, synchronicities and insights you have experienced begin to come together in such a way that you now have a better idea of what your higher purpose may be. You feel as though the puzzles pieces are coming together. You’re experiencing new insights almost daily. You have some amazing results and you feel “in tune” with your higher self. During this time, you also notice that some of your beliefs have changed and that your mind feels like it’s being “rewired.” In fact your mind has felt confused at times and sometimes you didn’t know how much more of this you could take but you chose to keep going anyway because it’s actually been exciting and you’ve been learning to trust your higher self and the Divine Plan. (And you’ve stopped looking to the night sky or other places for “proof” or motivation to go on.)

So how do I know this? It’s not because someone told me this or because it was channeled. It’s what I actually experienced when I made a commitment to reconnect to my higher self and follow through with my inner guidance and it’s what I came to understand over months and years of following my inner guidance. My book, What Everyone Believed: A Memoir of Intuition and Awakening, is an account of my experiences, many of which were recorded pretty much as they happened. In fact, I was asked by “higher beings” to keep track of things as they happened, so that my account of the reconnecting process would be more accurate than if I had written it months or years after the fact.

Understanding the bigger picture is not about adding more information to your repertoire; rather, when you are well on your way to fulfilling your higher purpose (which will be very exciting and rewarding for you and result in long-term happiness and satisfaction) you will finally understand the bigger picture on the deepest level. Then and only then will you be able to appreciate fully what the “powers that be” have done in service to you, to this planet, and indeed to the Universe. (And only then will the Golden Age come about.)

It’s not special information that has the power to transform our world. It’s you who have the power to transform your world, and this–when added to the millions of others who are also transforming their world–will result in the transformation of the world.

Who was Jesus? – The Hidden Truths of Jesus’ Origin

My friend Joshua Tilghman writes about the hidden truths found in the Bible and Jesus’ life in his “Spirit of the Scripture–Uncovering the Hidden Meanings of the Bible” blog. About a week ago, a reader of Joshua’s blog commented that she found it interesting that the Hebrew names of both Jesus Christ and of Satan / Lucifer mean “Messiah,” according to a particular ancient Hebrew interpretation. I found this interesting.

I have also linked the two together, but for different reasons. Specifically, I understand Jesus Christ to be the physical incarnation two thousand years ago of the ancient soul / higher self of Archangel Lucifer. This idea isn’t something I have come across or read in some book or article somewhere (frankly, I haven’t seen the two connected this way anywhere), but it’s what I have pieced together when I was writing my first book, “What Everyone Believed: A Memoir of Intuition and Awakening” (published January 2008, and based on some heart-rending personal experiences I’ve had and the insights resulting from those experiences). To this day, I still maintain these ideas.

I am not in any way a Bible scholar. My individual path has much more to do with the practical application of spiritual principles and wisdom, so I cannot back up my claims using Scripture. However, I could agree that taking bible study online or offline can help understand these matters in depth. As for my knowledge, I have a basic, “Catholic” understanding of the Bible. However, I do understand that both Archangel Lucifer and Jesus Christ are “Bringers of the Light,” in fact the name Lucifer has been interpreted as, “bringer of the light.”

I also understand that Archangel Lucifer’s name was sacrificed on the “Cross of Duality,” the “ethereal” cross in the heavens related to the Precession of the Equinoxes, and it makes sense that Lucifer’s physical incarnation on Earth, Jesus Christ, would be sacrificed on the physical cross. (By the way, the Cross of Duality is the cross in the “heavens,” the cross in the Milky Way Galaxy that we have just intersected December 21, 2012).

Before the fall in consciousness, Archangel Lucifer agreed to “represent” everything that was not God, everything that was not Love–so that humanity could play the “game” of duality and grow spiritually as quickly as was possible, so that we could have the experiences we needed in order to grow the fastest spiritually and personally. He agreed to do this “as long as it took,” until the time that humanity ascended in consciousness and his name would again be cleared. Well, I’m writing this article to help clear his name.

Lucifer made all this possible, including humanity experiencing the gifts of duality that we have yet to discover, but that are “coming” soon. Jesus Christ his physical incarnation fulfilled it by showing his followers “The Way,” but back then Jesus’ messages were easily co-opted and deliberately misinterpreted by those in power. However, the time has come for real change to finally manifest. We have crossed the line where the internal compass of the planet points to the beginning of a Golden Age, and only a few vested interests–and simple inertia–are still maintaining the status quo.

So the one who made duality possible is now the “bringer of the light,” the one who shows “the way”–the way to ascension, “salvation,” your higher purpose–by showing you that the “Kingdom of God is within you.” By helping you connect with your higher self, your direct connection with the Divine / God so that your higher self drives and steers your life rather than your lower, “ego” self (that bought into all kinds of strange, false beliefs, and that’s sometimes referred to as “Satan”). Anyway, who else BUT Lucifer’s own could have fulfilled this extremely important task? Things HAVE to come full circle!

So what are you to do? What is your role? It’s simple. You are to connect with and integrate (merge) with your higher self so that your “lower nature” (physical self) “gets behind” the agenda / plan of your higher self. Exactly as Jesus had done in the Desert when he said “Get thee behind me, Satan.”

Are strange events happening in your life that you can’t quite explain? Can they be somehow related to the 2012 shift that many are talking about? My understanding is that the “tipping point” of this shift in consciousness is to occur on December 21, 2012 (according to the astronomy, anyway), even though all of us have been in different stages of the awakening process for a good number of years now.

The way I see it, there’s a purpose to these strange events. I believe that having strange things happen in your life that you cannot quite explain opens you up to searching for answers and to being more open to considering alternative viewpoints–viewpoints that are alternative to the mainstream doctrines that have been pushed on us by the media, government, religion, industry and society.

For example, I had something strange happen in my life back in 1988 that I still to this day cannot explain. I spoke to barely a handful of people about it, engineers and scientists mainly, just to make sure there was no gaping hole in my scientific understanding.

I didn’t get any definitive answers, but the strange happening had an impact on my life, in that it made me more open to searching for answers outside of conventional or known explanations. I wrote about what happened in my memoir, What Everyone Believed: A memoir of intuition and awakening, but will briefly describe it below.

In 1988 I was working in Munich, Germany in the Experimental Physics Department at the Ludwig Maximilian University. I had been hired as a materials engineer and my job was to work with a physics professor and his graduate students, analyzing ceramic superconductors using various materials analysis techniques.

My vacation that year consisted of a car trip to Turkey with my boyfriend (who later became my husband) and my sister, who was visiting from New York. At one of Turkey’s tourist attractions (that looked like the limestone terraces in Yellowstone National Park), something strange happened. We had just parked my boyfriend’s VW Bug in the parking lot and were walking to see the terraces when I realized I had forgotten my camera. I asked my boyfriend and my sister to go along without me, that I would catch up with them after I got my camera.

I got to the car, leaned my left arm over the passenger side headrest (the front passenger side is where I normally sat), and reached for the camera that was on the back seat. As I was reaching for the camera, the two stainless steel rods that attached the headrest to the passenger seat had bent back in parallel motion. In my “inner hearing” I heard them “click into place” at an angle of about 45 degrees from vertical.

What the hell? That wasn’t supposed to happen! I tried to return the headrest to its original position (vertical) but it wouldn’t bend. After trying to bend it back into place for a minute or two I ran over to tell my boyfriend that something strange had happened to his car, and the three of us rushed back to look.

I had half expected the headrest to be back in its original position, perhaps one chance in a million I had somehow imagined this event, but nooooo, it was still bent. (I didn’t do drugs, nothing like this had ever happened to me or anyone else before–that I knew about, anyway.) I was really puzzled.

My boyfriend, six foot three and athletic, tried to bend the rods back into place but no matter what he did, he couldn’t make them budge. And boy was he upset with me! We took it to an auto shop to have it fixed, the three of us standing around waiting for it at the shop like strangers at a train station. The people at the auto shop were able to bend it back, and the headrest was as good as new for the rest of the time my boyfriend owned the car.

A couple of days later, still in Turkey, I got sick with some kind of virus or some other strange thing that left me very weak for about 24 hours. Years later, while I was writing my memoir and pondering upon this and other strange events in my life, I “got” that supernatural forces were tampering with the relationships in my life. I wanted to know why…which helped further lead me down my path of discovery.

So…what is happening in your life that cannot be explained using conventional wisdom? If you’re willing, please share your experiences in the comment section of this blog. A couple of other strange things are happening in my life at the moment, that I might share in future postings.

I believe that strange events are happening more frequently on this planet in order to help us question our current reality…which supports us in making the shift in consciousness that will bring about a new age for humanity, one that works for everyone (particularly now that we’re so close to the December 21, 2012 tipping point). It is this shift in consciousness and inner shift that will be the foundation for the positive changes that we make, including the shift from living from survival (struggle, fear, societal and peer pressure) to living from Creation (trusting in the divine, connection with one’s higher self, one’s true self).

As we learn the truth about what 2012 is really about, we will be able to live more and more from creation and joy. And as we learn to align with and follow through with our inner guidance, we will be well on our way to creating a world that’s supported by the heavenly realms.

The Event and the Great Shift In Consciousness

Many in the spiritual communities are discussing the Event (or events) that will awaken the masses and trigger the Great Shift in Consciousness that will eventually transform the world for the better. (This topic would be completely uninteresting if we actually lived in a world that worked for all….)

Channel Blossom Goodchild, in her latest blog post, “There is to take place an EVENT that will give souls a kick start!” asked her guides questions regarding Ascension / Awakening. In this blog post I help clarify the answers she was given as concretely as possible. I offer this different perspective because of what I’ve already experienced firsthand. Blossom asked about Ascension,

“I feel that we don’t actually go anywhere. We still stay on planet Earth, yet move into a Higher dimension upon it. Can you clarify this for me please?”

True, you don’t actually “go” or even “move” anywhere, except deeper within you to the part of you known as your higher self / soul (which is your connection with Source). You will attain a higher level understanding, a bigger picture understanding, of the process of life and of your journey here. This understanding comes from many “aha” moments and insights that arise in you as a result of following through with your inner guidance promptly and consistently.

It’s not about having one profound insight or moment. Rather, gaining a whole new understanding is a result of experiencing many new insights and synchronicities, where each insight is like a piece of a puzzle. Over time your mind will put the “puzzle pieces” (new insights) together, which will eventually result in a higher level perspective / understanding. As this happens, you will make peace with your life and clear your karma. This is what the Ascension process is all about.

You clear your own karma by understanding the bigger picture of your life. When you connect with your higher self and receive insights about your life, you will come to understand your life choices and your life plan and how it all fits in with Divine Plan–which will give you peace and clear your karma. The truth comes from connecting with your higher self (which is within you) and following your inner guidance.

Blossom’s guides then bring up how this shift in consciousness will be catalyzed:

“There is to be an undertaking of great magnitude that shall surely rock the boat for many of you. This we accept in our realms as being unavoidable. Yet … do we feel this shall put you in danger? Of course not. There can be NO danger … IF/WHEN you understand that it is YOU that decides your journey.”

Blossom asks, “Can I interrupt here … an undertaking of great magnitude? … What … like a massive pole shift?

“Like a shift in consciousness,” her guides responded.

Okay, her guides seem to be going round in circles. What they’re referring to is an event or series of events that will catalyze the shift in consciousness. I will try to explain what I had known for years from my personal experience about what will cause the shift in consciousness. By the way, the “pole shift” is an inner pole shift; it refers to the shift from your personality self being your “North Pole” to your higher self being your “North Pole” (and your personality self standing behind / supporting your higher self).

Several years ago, something happened in my life that was quite devastating. In fact, it wasn’t just one thing, but many puzzling / unsettling events that happened in my life over the course of a few years, events that actually made no sense to me. About a year into these events, I sought answers in the spiritual community and was guided to a woman who channeled the Counsel of Light. (Believe me, I wouldn’t have gone that route if it hadn’t been for the strange, painful events that I couldn’t explain that were happening in my life, as well as my being conscious of the dysfunctional state of the world.)

The Counsel of Light primed me a bit on what was to come and told me to look within for the answers, because I “already had everything figured out” and it was my purpose to write books that shared what I learned with others, to help those who would go through similar experiences later. They also motivated me to embark on this project by promising that my writings would become “very popular.” (I write about all these experiences in the book, What Everyone Believed: A Memoir of Intuition and Awakening.)

Of course I didn’t have anything figured out at the time they relayed their messages to me, and them saying that I had was, to say the least, confusing. My soul / higher self may have had things figured out, but I certainly wasn’t conscious of what my higher self knew, or the inner resources I had. I did not have my higher self’s (soul’s) perspective and understanding available to me in my waking consciousness. (That I would have to discover through following my inner guidance.)  So … I “looked within” for the answers to the strange, unsettling events in my life because I just knew I would NOT find them in any books or gurus or religions or on any stone tablets.

I committed to doing this 100% because basically, I was in deep trouble and I experienced deep pain. (Heck, if life were running smoothly, I wouldn’t have bothered to seek deeper answers!)

So I looked within*, developed the confidence and the courage to follow through with my inner guidance consistently, and then experienced many synchronicities, new insights, a lot of “reprogramming” going on in my brain, until eventually, I got the higher level understanding (that I write about in my eBook, Activating 2012). So … the “events” in my life (that were difficult to experience) turned out to be the catalysts to my awakening / Ascension.

*Please note that there’s a lot more to “looking within” than what those words literally imply. Looking within (or connecting within, meditating) is only the beginning of the process of spiritual growth and upliftment. There are other important steps involved that few, if any, talk about. For example, if you keep looking inwardly but you ignore the inner guidance you receive (often it’s very subtle) or if your insights never get applied in real life, you will not get anywhere.

The Shift that will happen in the world is a shift in consciousness first. And the shift in consciousness will affect individuals on all levels, including what you do and how you do it, and this is how the positive changes will come about in the world. (For example: raising your awareness about GMO foods will help you avoid them, which will create positive changes in your health http://nosubhealth.com/ and well-being.)

Blossom’s guides continue,

“What you came here to do and HOW to go about it … you ‘think’ you don’t know. Yet we say you do … within each one of you … you KNOW what to do to make this shift into a Higher plane take place.”

Blossom replies,

“I accept that we KNOW … trouble is … I can’t remember! You keep asking us to remember , but I’ve TRULY forgotten.”

But we were supposed to forget on a conscious level, so that we could play our roles in this Earth Experiment with full conviction. So don’t look to your conscious mind to try to remember. The way you remember is, again, to connect with your higher self and follow through with your inner guidance because this will result in the aha moments, the new insights, the favorable synchronicities and the glorious and heavenly moments that will cause you one day to say to yourself, “Oh, I’m getting it now; I “remember” why I’m here doing what I’m doing.” (Re-member means to “put the pieces of the puzzle together.”)

Blossom’s guides continued,

“The shift IS happening. You ARE moving up into a Higher plane … WITHIN YOURSELF. IT IS NOT ANOTHER PLACE.”

Then, they said,

“WE WILL ADD SOMETHING OF GREAT INSIGHT AND IMPORTANCE …There is to take place an EVENT that will give souls a kick start! It will give souls a choice as to follow ‘IT’ through … or remain as they are.”

Yep, so we are waiting for this event (events) that will act as a catalyst for the shift in consciousness … meaning the shift from the current low-level understanding of life here to the higher level understanding. Because what we’ve been taught / programmed to believe in the past will not explain what’s occurring, many people will then be “looking within” for the answers.

Signs of Spiritual Awakening – Meaningful Dreams That Guide You

In a previous article titled, Spiritual Awakening Symptoms – Essential Signs of Spiritual Awakening, I put together a list of 9 of the more common signs and symptoms of spiritual awakening that I consider essential to the awakening process. In this article, I discuss meaningful dreams (one of the 9 signs of spiritual awakening) in more detail.

Intense, vivid dreams that seem to point you in a certain direction are one way your higher self guides you, particularly when the dreams reflect a process you are currently undergoing in real life. Your dreams may also help confirm subtle feelings you have that you’re not yet sure about. (This used to be one of my issues–needing more than subtle feelings to be sure about something, needing signs from the Universe to confirm my hunches.)

In my experience with dream interpretation, the further along in the spiritual awakening process you are, the clearer your dreams will be and the more they will help guide you in your daily life. The dreams will be in metaphor form, often in metaphors that make sense to you.

An example of a meaningful dream that guided me

Before I get into an example of a meaningful dream that helped guide me, first a little background: Around the time of this dream (October of 2005), I had already been committed to following my inner guidance promptly and consistently and was well into my awakening process. I viewed the dream as a message from the divine, and as guidance meant to help get me to the next level in the Ascension process. The following is an excerpt from my memoir What Everyone Believed.

“With a pounce onto my chest, my kitten awakened me from a dream the day I  was revising this chapter. In my dream, I was on my way to Alaska as a passenger  in a new, comfortable, European-style city bus. I was aware  that I’ve never been to Alaska, only to Canada, and I was thinking that going to  Alaska would be just as easy as going to Canada.

“The bus traveled through a picturesque, green valley in between beautiful  snow-capped peaks, maybe ten miles from one side to the other. The valley  reminded me of Davos, Switzerland, still snowy in the higher elevations though  it was almost Summer. The bus meandered, switchbacking up an incline, went here  and there, stopping in many places for passengers, taking its time. Impatient, I  asked a passenger sitting next to me how long this trip to Alaska would take.  ‘It’ll be around four hours,’ she said.

Four hours? That was way too long for me! I wanted to get there sooner! I  explained that if I drove my own car, it would take me only two hours. So  I decided to get off of public transportation and drive my own vehicle. I pulled  the signal to stop and got off the bus. That’s when the cat woke me up.”–end of excerpt.

I had interpreted “driving my own vehicle to Alaska” as a sign of stepping up my awakening efforts and later, as a sign that I had broken away from the “public transportation” of awakening (the rhetoric, the public discourse, the language that’s long on flowery words but short on concrete, practical guidance)–and getting there sooner. (Well, one thing I know about my higher self, my soul, is that it’s been a spark-plug of individualism and breaking away ever since the beginning of time. But now my soul has come full circle and is assisting with unification.) I also got that the Ascension process this time around was different from all the other times.

So what did I do / change after this dream? I began a second type of meditation daily, one designed to increase my capacity to access wisdom and insights (“energy”) from the higher realms (from spirit / Source) and carry it over to my waking consciousness (mind / brain) as clearly as possible. And then I spent almost 2 more years revising my memoir, until I was clear about the bigger picture.

So why am I telling you to pay attention to your dreams? Because it’s one of the signs of spiritual awakening that also acts as a catalyst and as guidance for your life. Because as you’re probably aware, we’re living in extremely important times right now, times that call for prompt and right actions. A recent channeled message from Mathew stresses this:

“…There isn’t much time left for the masses to reach that level of consciousness about what is behind wars or religious dogmas or any other facet of life that is of dark origin and intent. The light [I read it as understanding] that would let individuals avoid severe psychic trauma is the same light [understanding] that would enable them to physically ascend with Earth.  Many will not be ready to accept that for millennia Earth’s population has been controlled by darkness through fear, deception and various forms of mind control.”–excerpt from Mathew Ward’s channeled message, June 3, 2012.

The further you are in your spiritual awakening process, the more your dreams will be meaningful to you and will help guide you, and the more you will continue to awaken to the truth as gently as possible. Connecting and integrating with your higher self (by following through with your inner guidance / divine guidance), as usual, is the key.

The Great Shift in Consciousness Will Flatten Your Belly

I got a response to my recent blog post titled, “The Great Shift In Consciousness and the Light Vs Dark Game” from a person named “Gryphon” at Rumor Mill News. Gryphon wrote:

“As I smoke another cigarette, I need to remember to learn to forget.

As I click on the page that teaches me how to get a flat belly that I really don’t give a shit about I see how to shift my consciousness. There is no great shift in consciousness. It’s just a shift from male to female. And it’s gonna be a great balance for a few thousand years and then females are going to make just as big a mess of things as males have and then males will screw it up for another 13,000 years and then we’ll all be back in the same place again.

So what’s the f@*#-ing point?…

Don’t get too hung up on the process love, it’s happened quite a few times before. “

I’m responding to his concerns here because 1. this simplistic view of the shift is probably held by many, and 2. because I’m not a moderator at RMN, I cannot respond directly to Gryphon in that forum.

When I wrote my eBook Activating 2012: A Practical Guide to Navigating 2012 with Confidence and Clarity, I knew there was something unique about the shift we’re going through this time around. I knew it wasn’t going be yet another 25,820 year cycle. What I mean is that it’s not just the end of another cycle of precessions of the equinoxes; there’s something more to it than that.

What I have known for some time now is that this shift in consciousness is about the integration and wholeness of the individual (and by extension, of the collective). It’s not merely about swinging from one side to the other. It’s definitely not about elevating or preferring one state of being over the other, but about integrating the higher self (creative self) with the personality (“ego”) self.

I cannot actually prove, using astronomy, that this greater level shift is on the horizon. However, in my eBook I show that the astronomy of December 21, 2012 (the alignment of the galactic equator with the Earth’s pole) presages a Great Shift in Consciousness. I show the galactic element that corresponds to the higher self (“God self”), the galactic element that corresponds to the lower self (“ego self”), and why integration of the two aspects this time around makes sense.

However, the Great Shift in consciousness isn’t real to me because of my analysis of the astronomy. The great shift is also not about my becoming aware of the truth about our government, religious institutions, or even about the bankers. For most of us, learning about that kind of stuff falls into the category of book learning.

Rather, I know it’s real because I experienced it personally. I experienced a profound shift in my own awareness after I made the commitment and mustered up the courage to follow through with my inner guidance promptly and consistently, even though I knew that would be the harder path to take (temporarily, I mean…until certain things got resolved).

The Great Shift is about you as an individual changing yourself profoundly. It’s about you discovering through profound and meaningful firsthand experiences why you chose to be here at this time. It’s about making sense of your own life and understanding the role of the people in your life in your transformation. The astronomic alignments are merely signs of the times, and I only became interested in knowing the details of those after my transformative experiences.

Furthermore, as someone with a “left-brain” background (a bachelor’s degree in materials engineering), I see nothing wrong with logic and reasoning. Yet at the same time, I have experienced the great benefits of trusting one’s connection with the Divine, of trusting one’s inner guidance.

The world’s problems didn’t come about because we have overdosed on science, but because real science was corrupted by the profit motive. (One example: recent independent studies indicate that true science is lacking in the medical industry.) There are also those who insist that the right brain is superior to the left brain (just look at where the left brain got us, they say). But don’t let anyone tell you that one side is somehow “better” than the other. In fact, I see science and spirituality merging in the future. (We can call the integration of the two “Divine Logic.”)

So no, there will be no shift from male to female, from left brain to right brain. I am clear that this time it’s about integration and balance. Although this isn’t something I can actually prove will happen, it’s what I stand for, and I’m working on bringing this understanding to the mass consciousness.

As far as flattening your belly is concerned, the great shift in consciousness will totally do that for you. Following through with your inner guidance (a must for experiencing the great shift in consciousness) will get you in touch with your love for yourself as well as help raise your awareness about such things as proper nutrition and about what’s bugging you inside. In conclusion, I have no doubt that a flatter belly will be just one of the many benefits of experiencing the great shift in consciousness.

Drake, Our Sovereignty And Your Role In the Divine Plan

In recent interviews, Drake (spokesperson for the “secret” Sovereignty movement being led by the Pentagon as well as a variety of groups at the local, state and national levels) discussed the basic sovereignty of the individual and the spiritual growth and evolution that each one of us is being urged to go through during this time of transition. As the many societal changes and the resulting confusion and chaos come about, we will no doubt be encouraged to look deeper within for answers. Drake proposed that:

“The average person is going to have to grow up considerably…We are to advance from this level of reality to the next level, like going from Cro-Magnon man to the present–that’s the amount of advancement we need to go through…The ancient cultures such as Atlantis will be child’s play [compared to what will be possible in the not-too-distant future]”–Drake, on James Madison’s Community Call Radio Show, April 26, 2012

In a more recent interview, Drake explained that the basic quality that people need to listen to is their conscience. The right thing to do comes from within, he said. It’s up to the individual to get back in touch with their conscience as to how to be and how to act. In a nutshell, it is time to “activate your spiritual self,” said Drake on Free Thinking Radio (BlogTalkRadio ), May 3, 2012.

Some of us have been working on our spiritual growth and evolution for many years and have much to contribute regarding how to activate our spiritual selves.  In light of this, I prefer to use the word “higher consciousness” over “conscience,” as “conscience” has been misused in religions as it often implies feelings of guilt. (I was raised Catholic and this was my experience.) Furthermore, to activate your spiritual self you must connect with and integrate with your “higher self” (also known as your true self, your soul, which is your direct access point to God, “Source” and the Divine Plan). Part of integrating with your higher self means following through with your inner guidance and making real changes that are in line with your higher self–rather than merely going along with “the way things are.”

In my eBook Activating 2012: A Practical Guide for Navigating 2012 with Confidence and Clarity I show that–without a doubt–the Divine Plan for humanity just on the horizon is a world that works for everyone, a Golden Age. Of course during the transition period there will be some confusion and chaos, but much of it can be mitigated by understanding the bigger picture of what’s going on–and why. None of us knows exactly how things will go down but I know that if it’s happening, it’s part of the Divine Plan. I also know that each one of us has a role in the Divine Plan that we are meant to play–which we discover by connecting within and following through. Many spiritual teachers, including channeled material such as that from Mathew Ward, have encouraged us to “go within”:

“We urge you to develop your capacity for discernment and go within for answers. Whether you think of this as reaching your higher self, godself, inner knowing, God Himself or any other designation you may call this “voice,” it is your soul, wherein all truth is known, communicating with your consciousness.” –Mathew Ward, May 1, 2012

But what does it mean to “look within?”

There’s a lot more to “looking within” than what those words literally imply. Several years ago, when my life was a confusing mess, I spent months looking within and I became frustrated with myself for not making much progress. (I mean that I wanted to feel reconnected and integrated with my higher self, I wanted to gain a greater, more uplifting perspective, have more flow in my life, gain new insights, activate favorable synchronicities, make good things happen around me, etc.)

Then came the time when I got so fed up being stuck that I vowed to follow through with my inner guidance immediately and consistently. That meant I took some risks, of course: your inner guidance isn’t always going to agree with conventional wisdom or “the way things are.”

It wasn’t until I made the commitment to follow though and actually followed through (I trusted my higher self enough to do that) did I begin to experience the amazing synchronicities and new insights that began to flow into my life–including the “spiritual rush” that Drake mentioned (during his May 3rd interview) was much better than drugs.

So why would you want to look within and take the necessary steps to integrate with your higher self? So that you experience the connection with the Divine consistently in your own life and the upliftment and inner peace that results when you truly get what you came here here to get. (Which will be so important for you to experience in these uncertain times, and which will at the same time create the new world.)

Here are some words from Channel Blossom Goodchild that I just had to include here because they’re encouraging to those who happen to be trudging through the muck right now:

The Divine Plan (a world that works for everyone) cannot fail when we connect within and follow through with our inner guidance, and the events that are happening right now are pressing more and more people to awaken and to search within for answers. Connecting and integrating with your higher self is the key to fulfilling your contribution to the Divine Plan.
